Fall Learning is in Full Swing
Hello parents and families,
What a fabulous 2nd grading period it has been! Look for your child's report cards to be sent home this Wednesday.
We recently celebrated the Diamondbacks World Series games with a special Friday spirit shirt day, played silly games and ate treats at our Fall Parties, and ended last week with our annual Firebird Movie Night. The 'Super Mario Bros Movie' was a big hit. Here is the funny movie trailer we played prior to the movie, take a look!
There are a lot of events over this next six weeks so take a look at the calendar below to stay up-to-date with all of the campus happenings.
Warmly,
Mr. Abrams & Mrs. Moya
During lunch...
5th grade students enjoy our outdoor lunch day with excitement for the Diamondbacks!
In the music room...
Mr. Rittenhouse teaches 4th grade students how to play the ukelele.
At movie night...
Bowser, aka Principal Abrams, spends time with 6th graders at Firebird Movie Night.
Student Council News
Food Drive, Crazy Socks Day & an Update from the FMSC Service Day
Student Council is partnering with Franklin Junior High Student council to sponsor a Food Drive through the United Food Bank. Please consider donating items such as Granola Bars,
Oatmeal, Cereal, Pasta and Rice, Canned Chicken & Tuna, Soup, Stew and Chili, Beans, and Peanut Butter. Please do not send any glass bottles. Donations will be collected 11/7-11/21.
Crazy Socks Day will be held on Track & Field Day. Students and teachers are encouraged to show off their zany, wild and silly socks! Student council will also be sharing spirit shirt themes with students for their particular grade level.
The 'Feed My Starving Children' Service Day was a success. Student Council and family members, along with several 4th-6th grade students, were able to pack daily meals for 85 kids for year. This amounts to 31,104 meals in total. What an outstanding contribution, firebirds!
