Message from Mrs. P
As we transition into our second semester we will continue to focus on building a strong community here at CMS.
Administration will be partnering with our newly formed Better Together Parent Coalition along with collaborating with our CMS Guiding Coalition to work towards turning Camillus Middle School into a model Professional Learning Community (PLC).
If you are interested in learning more about what it means to be Professional Learning Community take a look at the attached article along with this video which highlights Westmont High school an award winning PLC school.
There are many aspects of a Professional Learning Community already happening at CMS and throughout the West Genesee School District. We are committed to continuous improvement, building upon our partnership with our parents, students, staff and administration I am confident we will only continue to grow even better together.
As always, thank you for your continued support. Stay safe and healthy!
Better Together,
Mrs. P

Supporting Our Students
CMS Better Together Coalition
Please consider joining our efforts to form a "CMS Parent/Staff Better Together Coalition". Our purpose is to work collaboratively and proactively to create a welcoming and affirming environment for all CMS students and families. We are looking for parents/guardians/caregivers interested in bringing positivity and problem solving to our group. We will meet on the second Tuesday each month beginning in February, with the exception of May. May's meeting will be on May 23. If you are interested in joining us please send your name, your student's name and your email address to CMS parent Sarah Kane. sjkane83@yahoo.com
Chromebooks: PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR STUDENT IS COMING TO SCHOOL DAILY WITH THEIR CHROMEBOOKS FULLY CHARGED. THANK YOU!!
We understand that “things happen” and from time-to-time students will forget to charge their Chromebook or leave it at home. Unfortunately, this is becoming a habit for some students and is happening far too often overall. Students were made aware at the beginning of the school year that the expectation is for ALL students to bring their fully-charged Chromebook to school each day.
It is very important for students to come to school with charged and functioning Chromebooks. The devices are used in most, if not all classes; including music and art. We are asking families to be partners with CMS in this, and remind your children to charge their Chromebooks and bring them to school every day.
CMS Updated Schedules:
We were able to make some adjustments to allow for parent drop off to begin at 7:30 a.m. Students should report to the cafeteria and remain there until 7:35 a.m. at which time they can move to their homerooms. If they are getting breakfast they can do so at 7:35 a.m. and stay in the cafeteria to eat. Students will get off their buses at 7:35 a.m. If they are eating breakfast they should grab their breakfast and eat in the cafeteria. When they are done they should move to their homerooms.
