Spring Newsletter 2017-2018
Letter from the Principal
Dear Les Bois Parents,
We are off to a great start with second semester. Our kids here at Les Bois are great and very fun to work with. Students are beginning the registration process for next year. You should have been receiving information and details concerning registration from your students. If you have any questions please contact the school.
Our teachers are outstanding here at Les Bois. We have been participating in training to help us better work with all different learning styles and abilities of students. We are fortunate to be part of a school district and community that values education and provides such training.
Important dates and events are included in this newsletter and on our school website. Please review often and let us know if you have any questions.
It is a pleasure to be here at Les Bois. My wife and I live in S.E. Boise and love the wonderful people that live in this area. I enjoy working with all of our staff and students each day. Les Bois is a very special place!
Thank you.

Les Bois is fortunate to have a lot of fun after school activities and clubs. This spring a new club will be starting.
The Les Bois Dirt Bike/ATV club will be starting in March. The start date will depend on snow melt. The purpose of the club is to get people who enjoy riding motorcycles and ATV’s together. The club will meet 2 Saturdays a month at a nearby trail to ride for a few hours. If you have questions please contact Ms. Hart in room 120 or by email at Jeanna.hart@boiseschools.org
Nurse's Notes
It's time to start thinking about next year. Every year Jr. High School students need to fill out a new Health Enrollment Form. This form updates the nurse on health issues and gives permission for the Nurse's office to give specific over the counter medications at school. When you click on the link hit make a copy, print out, fill out and send back to school with your student or email to wendy.liming@boieschools.org
Counselor's Corner
Registration materials for current 7th/8th graders will come home Feb 14th & 15th. Eighth grade will pre - register on 2/21 and seventh grade on 2/23.
If you have a 6th grader who will attend Les Bois next year registration will take place in March. The counselors will be visiting the 6th grade classes and sending information home about classes and registration. Make sure to attend the incoming 7th grade Student/Parent Open House and Orientation Night at Les Bois, March 7th from 6-7.

PTO
Well, the first half of the school year has concluded, and in that time your PTO got a lot completed for you, your students, and your school. First semester your PTO organized 2 successful school dances, approved all teacher fund requests, and what we are most excited about is the approval of 2 new filtered, chilled, water stations for the students. Phase one will see the installation of the 2 water stations placed in the most strategic high traffic areas.
The PTO is ALWAYS looking for your help! We have meetings every other month for only an hour. Please watch for our emails for opportunities to help out. We have openings for the Outpost, dance volunteer opportunities, and teacher appreciation opportunities. For more information please email your President @ LBPTOINFO@GMAIL.COM
Please remember we are a Box Top school, so please save, have grandma and grandpa save, aunts & uncles, neighbors and friends cut and save those Box Tops.
Thank you for your support and we hope to see you at our next meeting, Tuesday, February 13th @ 6:30 in the Library!!!
~Tom Starr --PTO President
