The citizens should be able to make their own rules in the perspective that helps the community and the people, By creating law that will apply to everyone in order for a fair community without the government interfering with unjust laws.

standing up for the better cont.

Harrison is a Fourteen years old, seven feet tall, and he seems to be the most powerful and best out of all the people. He is a genius who is also very strong, he is a dancer who can also break out of prison. But Harrison is killed in front of national TV. He died trying to show that the government is to controlling.
Power to the people
In both stories the main characters do what they can in order to stand up to the unfair treatment and unjust rules. Like in "Harrison Bergeron" Harrison tries to stand up to the government by proclaiming against them because the government made people wear certain devises that made "everyone equal". And Mrs. Hutchinson tries to stop the lottery by begging to stop. she wants everything to stop because in the lottery if a person gets the lottery they are stoned to death. In both stories it shows the unjust rules that they have.

Quotes/Analysis "The Lottery"
"Tessie Hutchinson was in the center of a cleared space by now, and she held her hands out desperately as the villagers moved in on her. "It isn't fair," she said. A stone hit her on the side of the head. Old Man Warner was saying, "Come on, come on, everyone." Steve Adams was in the front of the crowd of villagers, with Mrs. Graves beside him" (Jackson 7).
This is the way the community is trying to survive so that there is enough food for everyone. This power should be given to the community because time has changed and the people are following old traditions that are causing murders in there community. the power should for the people because they should decided if they want to follow the old religion or move and just keep on working harder in order to feed everyone in the family.
Quotes/ Analysis "Harrison Bergeron"
“They were burdened with sashweights and bags of birdshot, and their faces were masked, so that no one, seeing a free and graceful gesture or a pretty face, would feel like something the cat drug in” (Vonnegut 1).
This is the government way of making everyone equal because of their special talents and just being good at something. This why citizens should change the current laws because people can’t be good at what they usually if they are being held back because of someone.
Power to the society
All the citizens should have the right to make there own rules based on there situation that they are in so they can better themselves in there life's, they can do this by making laws that that are unjust and where the government can not make unfair laws that harm the people.. Looking toward up coming election it is important that we help the people that need help to build up our community and to better ourselves. I am not scarred of what might happen but I am worried that our daily life will be impacted by the choice of someone like higher rates we got to pay and an equal treatment.
