Congratulations to our high school academic bowl team on its performance at Area last night! All squads placed in the top three in our class: Social Studies, Math, and Fine Arts placed third; Science placed second; and English placed first.
We are holding a recycling competition in homerooms. More information is below.
Attention any junior or sophomore that is at least 16 years old. Jasper Engines and Transmissions is looking for a responsible high school student to start working after school hours and then into the summer and next school year. This would be in a manufacturing setting. The pay would be $15 per hour and you could work 40 hours a week in the summer.
Today (April 12) your child received a permission slip form for our Amazon Donation Day at Northeast Dubois Jr/Sr HS on Friday, April 26. This event provides shopping experiences to students to spark creativity and interest when considering his/her family and friends' wants/needs. Students will be able to select two household items: one for themselves and one to give to someone they care about. Overall, this is a special day for our students to give a gift to someone they care about. Items range in size and value, but the biggest hope is that they never forget how valuable the opportunity to be generous is. Students may choose larger items (ex: vacuum cleaners, rugs) that may be too large to ride on the bus and will have to be picked up. Your child will notify you before the end of the day if that’s the case.
If you have any questions or would like further information, please contact Mr. Schroeder @ aschroeder@nedubois.k12.in.us.Instead of throwing your old eyeglasses away, let us send them to an orphanage in Africa! NDJSHS has a collection box for outgrown or extra eyeglasses for The Micah 6:8 Project and the children it serves in Yeji, Ghana. Glasses should be given to Mrs. Julie Neukam at school, or you can contact her at jneukam@nedubois.k12.in.us
Have a nice weekend,
Mr. Chinn

Manie Musicale is an annual bracket-style competition for students and teachers of French. Similar to March Madness in the United States, participants try to predict which of 16 francophone songs will be the most popular. Once the tournament starts, students vote to decide which song will advance to the next round until we have a champion. The best part? Students learn French while having fun with students from all over the world. This year there were 675,679 students from 6,210 schools, and 37 countries!
