It's been an exciting day and week at Northeast Dubois Jr/Sr High School as today ends term 3! This morning we had a corporation wide pep session where we showcased our boys' basketball team, our cheer team, and the pep band! Our students had a lot of fun and showed tremendous school spirit that we are going to carry over to tomorrow at Loogootee where our boys take on the Lions at 4 ET.

We have officially sold out of tickets in the Jr/Sr High School office, but tickets still remain available at the door tomorrow.

Tonight, Mrs. WineinGer and our FFA students welcome over 400 participants to our school the FFA District 10 competition. Good luck to our students in the competition!

Check out our intramural basketball team photos below. Teams are currently competing in the tournament where we will crown a champion next week! (Side note, the faculty team finished undefeated).

Our students competed in the Blue Chip Invitational Academic Competition Wednesday at Wood Memorial where our English squad, coached by Mrs. Reinbold, earned third place in their respective content area round. All content area squads will now prepare for the Area Academic Super Bowl Competition, which will take place at Southridge on April 18. There, they will compete to qualify for State.

Northeast Dubois was invited to participate in the Youth Art Month Show, hosted at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center in Jasper. All area schools participate in this event, with the exhibit being open for a month. Art teachers Ellie Russell and Keasha Fromme submitted over 80 pieces of art to be displayed, including string art, paintings, drawings, ceramics, and wood burning. Go check it out!

We are finalizing our end of the year schedules. Parents, keep an eye out for emails from me in regards to this.

Looking ahead to next week before we are off for Spring Break. Prom and Post Prom will be held Friday, March 17 at NDJSHS. The statewide tornado drill will be Tuesday, March 14 at 10:15 AM.

Eighth graders need to be ready to enter their course requests on March 14. All parents will be able to view what students enter on Skyward Family Access's scheduling tab.

The Dubois County Common Scholarship Application for many local scholarship opportunities is due April 1.

ASVAB retesting for juniors has been scheduled for March 30.

Senior Awards will be held at 9:00 am on May 22. Parents will be receiving an invitation to attend the awards ceremony as well as a breakfast that will be served that morning at 8:00.

FRENCH CLUB MEMBERS: For March we are having a social activity. We rented the Skate

Palace for a private party. It will be Tuesday, March 28th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. See Mrs.

Terwiske for details, and to sign up!

Beta - 12th and 11th Grade - FFA District volunteer signups are in Google Classroom.

Archery - Lunch will be provided on Thursday, March 9th for any member that competed in

this year's Archery State Qualifier. Lunch will be located in room C124 in the JR High area.

BETA CLUB & STUDENTS GOING TO EUROPE:

The Little Lambs fundraiser orders are expected to be delivered by the end of the school day on

Wednesday, March 8th. The orders will be frozen so they must be picked up after school. You

could bring a large cooler to put them in while you are at practice. Several students are out

that day for the Young Women Lead and many of you have practice/work after school so make

plans for a family member to pick it up if you can't do it yourself.

YEARBOOK SALES: Yearbooks can still be ordered but please note the price change if you are planning on still ordering. The High School yearbook is $65 and the JR High yearbook is $25.
