Principal's Letter
Prairie Point Families:
What a great week of learning. Mrs. Fahey and I enjoyed spending time in Go Live Meetings throughout the week. I love seeing our students engaged in learning and noticing the unique strategies that our classroom teachers are using to encourage and support this engagement. As we wrap up our fourth week of remote learning, I can definitely feel the classroom community that is being cultivated during Go Live Meetings. I also recognize the significant role that parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors have played during remote learning. I know that this has been a sacrifice in many families and I am very grateful for the support that our students are receiving at home. I think that when we look back at this time, we will really value the role that our whole community played in educating and supporting our students.
I do want to provide an update on Wednesday learning. I know that Mrs. Fahey and I have chatted with several parents regarding Wednesdays. We are grateful for your feedback and insight into what this day may look like at home during remote learning. Our specials teachers have worked together to provide a more consistent plan for posting the Go Live link on Wednesdays. All of our specials teachers have moved their Go Live links to the top of the “Classwork” tab in their Google Classroom.
Wednesdays should consist of students attending their Go Live specials meeting, as well as answering the question of the day or the exit slip that the classroom teacher has posted in their Google classrooms. Those are the only student requirements on Wednesdays. Students may also choose to use this day to catch up on assignments, rewatch Go Live recordings or work on any optional activities or videos that the teacher has provided.
As always, Mrs. Fahey and I are here should you have any questions or ideas to share. You are able to reach us via email or phone. We’d love to hear from you!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jennifer Groves

Prairie Point Elementary's Home and School Board is changing from Membership Toolkit to Konstella!
Unfortunately, with everything that has been going on, your Home and School Board has decided to change our school management software again. This decision did not come lightly to us. We did not want to change to a new software again, when you just signed up for Membership Toolkit, but we needed to make a change for the better. This decision impacts our finances as well as how we manage the events. We think it will be easier for all. Please follow the link below to begin the new sign in. Thank you again for being so cooperative with us.
