Back to School Information
Below is information about the first week of school and a snapshot of what a typical week looks like for both our Online Students and our Project Based Students.
The Back to School Week is for ALL students. The first week of school is all about getting to know each other and becoming familiar with the learning platforms we will be using this year. We are excited to see you as you come and pick up your Back to School Bundle. Please wear a mask as you come and pick up items.
Please note, Tulsa Learning Academy is in distance learning and virtual learning until November 9, 2020: students will be learning from home and will not be attending school in person.
What Learning Looks Like at Tulsa Learning Academy
Distance Learning: Students will have a daily schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday to interact with their teachers and peers via ZOOM and/or Canvas. They will have set learning tasks and projects to complete. Interactive instruction will be from 9:00-1:15 with breaks included.
TLA Online- Virtual Learning using an online courseware
Virtual Learning: Students will have online courses assigned to them and instructors will hold virual office hours for assistance and social emotional check ins for students. Specific Office Hours are to be determined.

Strong Tomorrows

The Strong Tomorrows program provides guidance, support, and information for expectant and parenting students at Tulsa Public Schools. Our program incorporates a dual-generational approach by providing case management services and partnering with high-quality childcare programs like Educare and Community Action Project to support parenting students in staying on track to graduate.

Legal Aid
Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma is a non-profit law firm. We’re here for you because we believe access to the legal system is as important as food, shelter and clothing. Youth Services of Tulsa
We provide food and shelter (a Safe Place) when they need it. We teach them about sexual health. We provide counseling to adolescents and their families. We help
youth learn from their mistakes and coach them to make better choices.Why do we do this? Because they need us. We offer complementary programming in four areas — Runaway and Homeless Services, Counseling, Delinquency Prevention, and Youth Development. We are fortunate enough to interact in the lives of thousands of area youth and their families. With your assistance, we help them change their lives.

Tulsa Community Workadvance
Tulsa Community WorkAdvance recently celebrated 500 placements over the organization’s first five years in existence. A Way Home 4 Tulsa
A Way Home for Tulsa (AWH4T) is a collective impact of 30 voting organizations that exists to plan and implement strategies that support a system of outreach, engagement, assessment, prevention and evaluation for those experiencing homelessness, or those persons at risk of homelessness, within Tulsa City/County. Through AWH4T we support programs such as All Doors Open, Coordinated Outreach and the Homeless Management Information System.

Morton Family Clinic
Morton’s mission is to provide quality-focused, cost-effective, and family-based health services with dignity and respect to all people without regard to finances, culture or lifestyle and to provide information and support to promote participation in health care decisions. The Morton Midtown Homeless Health Center, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is housed in the Salvation Army building. It serves the primary health care and basic dental needs of Tulsa’s homeless population at no charge.
