Parent Panther Preview
September 4th
Message from Principal Swift
Dear Roesland Families and Community Members:
Patience. Grace. Flexibility. These are the things we will need most from each other this year. Many of our teachers are also parents. Many of our parents are juggling work schedules and multiple children's school schedules. Teachers are all working hard to learn the new technology, how to teach in-person and remotely at the same time, figuring out all new routines and procedures...while trying to orchestrate home lives and how that will work. We know that you are juggling the same things.
As you know, your Roesland teachers love what they do! They are kind, thoughtful, and extremely passionate about all of you and your children. It has been humbling to observe their dedication and hard work to make this most unusual school year go smoothly for your children. Kind words and encouragement will undoubtedly be greatly appreciated as we all continue to learn and grow professionally. Thank you to our PTA for the wonderful Back to School breakfast for staff last week!
We look forward to seeing your child (1st-6th Grade) at their Morning Meeting (on WebEx) on Tuesday, 9/8 at 8:10AM. On Thursday, 9/10, we will be greeting our PreK and Kindergarten students at their Morning Meeting (on WebEx) at 8:10AM. More information will be coming from your child's teacher.
It was so nice "meeting" you and your children last night at the Meet-the-Teacher Drive Thru.
ROESLAND PANTHERS ARE BETTER TOGETHER!
Kindly,
Kelly Swift

Meals are funded entirely by USDA as part of their Summer Meals Program extension. These free meals will continue as long as federal funding is available and could end prior to 12/31/20. We encourage families to continue to apply for free and reduced meals in the event the funding is no longer available by clicking here. Qualifying may allow for other support through the district so it is important to continue to apply for free and reduced meals.

- No advance ordering is needed. (The online digital ordering system has been disabled.)

News from PTA
The Roesland PTA welcomes everyone to the 20-21 school year! Covid is a challenging boat, but we're in it together.
MembershipToolkit
If you haven't already, please sign up for a free online account using the link below. We use this platform for communication, spirit wear and other sales, volunteer opportunities, optional membership fees, and more!
Fundraising
Last spring, anticipating Covid-related concerns in the fall, we made the decision to move the Panther Prowl walkathon to spring 2021 and to do the chocolate bar sales fundraiser this fall. Our kick off date will be October 5 (we'll share an online video instead of having an all-school assembly). Remote and in-person families are welcome to participate to earn fun prizes. Case pick up and money drop off will be drive-thru with minimal contact. Online payment will be available (by the case). We know times are challenging right now, but every little bit counts toward raising funds to support our kids. This year we will provide additional recess equipment for each class, and we look forward to future field trips and programs.
Yearbook Pick-Up
Yearbook Pick Up
A drive through yearbook pick up will be held Thursday September 10th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. All pre-k through 5th grade students from last year are welcome to pick up a yearbook (no charge!), if you haven't done so already. This will be our second and final yearbook pick up opportunity. If you are not available on Thursday evening, and would like to make other arrangements to collect your yearbook, please email TheRoeslandPTA@gmail.com.
