We are currently requesting our community, students, staff and families, to provide input on how you would like to see additional COVID relief funding and additional Local Control and Accountability Plan funding that we are receiving this year only. We have already received input from this survey to consider: shade structures, HEPA portable filters, additional staff to reduce student to staff ratios, athletic facility upgrades, summer school for elementary, bottle filling stations, instructional software subscriptions, counselors and tutoring. So please take a moment and let us know your thoughts!

OUSD 1:1 Devices for all Students
OUSD 1:1 Handbook
As OUSD starts the 1:1 device initiative throughout our district, all students on our campus will have access to a device throughout the school year. Please connect with your child's teacher regarding certain classroom-based practices, including devices going home for many of our upper-grade students.
You can find the OUSD 1:1 Handbook here. This includes information on procedures and fines.
Orange Unified School District (OrangeUSD) does not offer a district insurance plan and is not affiliated with an insurance company. If families are interested in getting their student's device covered, they can work with the companies listed below that provide discount rates for the OrangeUSD community.
Insurance Companies usually do not cover the following (California Education Code 48904):
- Theft or loss of the device outside of the school campus.
- Malicious damage under any circumstances.
Participating Companies
- You can find insurance options on our 1:1 website.

- Parents, with respect to Trinity Pre-School and their families, we are not allowing Nohl Canyon families to park in the Trinity parking lot. Please follow this guideline and support us in keeping a positive community relationship with Trinity School.
Nohl Canyon Parents - if you need to park for drop-off/pick-up, or park to wait for your child, please utilize the following spots:
- Nohl Canyon's EAST back parking lot (West parking lot near Kindergarten area is STAFF ONLY)
- Nohl Canyon Rd where available (do not block driveways or park on the school side of Nohl Canyon Rd.)
- Dog park parking lot (Behind school)
4th, 5th, 6th Grade Parents
- If you have a child in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade only (do not have a primary child), please avoid parking in our drop-off/pick-up lane until your dismissal time.
- If you need to arrive early, please park in our back EAST parking lot to wait for your child.
- We need to keep our drop-off/pick-up lane open for each dismissal time to allow a steady flow of traffic.
Best Scenario - please pick up during the dismissal time for your specific grade level. Please use our drop-off/ Pick-up lanes to meet your child while parent stays in the car. We understand some families have multiple children with staggered dismissal times. If you need to wait for your child, please utilize one of the parking spots listed above. This will allow a continuous flow of traffic during pick-up.
Parents - you may use this template to write your Childs LAST NAME and TEACHER NAME. This will help our parking lot volunteers in identifying your child in an efficient manner.

Nohl Canyon is documenting all tardies. If a student arrives to school after their specific start time, they are considered Tardy.
Why being on time to school is important:
Students who show up late may miss out on important details and may be unprepared for future class events or key learning concepts.
Develops long-term positive habits – when students show up on time to school every day, they develop the habit of being punctual with important commitments.
OUSD Counseling Website
