Welcome Back? Sorta!?!?!?!

It seems as though it has been a long time since we have seen each other! Tomorrow may be a rough day for some of our kiddos and adults as well! We I'm sure will feel like we are starting at square one with behaviors and possibly academics. Let's try to give lots of grace tomorrow, as our students adjust from being home for 5 days. Just remember some of our students didn't enjoy being home, they didn't eat well, didn't have much structure, didn't have heat, had to watch siblings, or were just flat out neglected. Some of our kiddos live a life that no 5-9 year old should ever have to live, so if one of them is struggling tomorrow take the time to talk to them, hug them, let them know you are glad they are with us, and if you need a break from them call the office or send them with their purple folder. Sometimes it just takes a caring adult to make things better!

When You Feel Like Complaining

We all have days when it's easy to just throw in the towel and give up. When things don't seem fair, or when we feel we've been treated unfairly. You see, I think fair is a nasty four letter word. I've been trying to watch this video a couple of times a week to remind me that when I want to complain about things that aren't "fair" it's my attitude and crappy view that is bringing ME down. All I have to do, is be positive about MY situation! I hope you enjoy this as much as I have the last couple of weeks!
