As part of a Brevard Public Schools initiative, Social Emotional Lessons will be presented by classroom teachers to your children over the next several weeks. The curriculum was selected by the district through Sanford Harmony and center around the following topics:

Diversity & Inclusion

Empathy & Critical Thinking

Communication

Problem Solving

Peer Relationships

The lessons for all grade levels center around the themes of:

Identifying Feelings

Managing Feelings

Overcoming Obstacles

Helping Ourselves/Helping Others

All grade levels K-6 will participate in age appropriate activities that will be guided by their classroom teachers. Most grade levels will finish with this curriculum before winter break yet some may go into the new year.
