MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL...
Dear Knights,
Thank you so much for attending the Curriculum Night last night. We hope it was informative and were able to get your questions answered. As I said last night, we firmly believe in having strong partnerships with our families to provide the best experience for our students.
When thanking some parents for partnering with us last year, I neglected to mention Ms. Rima Desai who brought her expertise in the executive functioning skills area. Students played games and learned time management skills as well as other emotional intelligence skills.
We will be running the cash for classrooms campaign beginning Monday, August, 1, 2022. See attached for more information. Here is a video with information as well.
Parents - we need your help with drop off and pick up. I am adding some helpful tips below in addition to the map. If we follow the map and these simple guidelines, it will ensure for a smooth drop off and pick up while also alleviating undue traffic preventing movement. I appreciate those of you that have been following this from day 1.
- If you turn right onto our campus, you will continue the right pathway and if you turn left onto our campus, you will continue the left pathway. Please do not deviate from this. IT causes an ebb in the traffic flow and it would be essentially akin to you cutting off all of the cars that were ahead of you. Remember, there are three traffic flows - #1, #2, #3. Use whichever is the most convenient for you.
- During drop off, please drop off your student at the nearest gate (make sure to drop off at a side walk) - traffic flow #1 will drop off for students to enter through the gym gates, any of the traffic flow #2 near the gym gates should also drop off for entry through the gym gates - do not wait until you get to the front gates. Once you drop off, turn slightly left to exit (it will be parallel to your drop off lane - the path is wide enough for essentially two lanes)
- Do not park in the neighborhoods and then walk across major streets to pick up students - we do not have a cross walk and Chandler PD does issue citations if caught
Action Items:
Parents - Please complete your Annual Update for Emergency Cards. Please login to your parent portal account and click on “More”, Then click on “Emergency and Health Update”. Please only select Emergency Health Update and NOT registration. When answering Yes/No to Internet Permission – Please select “YES” as your student will need to connect to the internet with their devices on campus. If you are unable to login to your parent portal or have forgotten your password, please email me at ferguson.mechael@cusd80.com I will reset your account and email you step by step instructions.

Please Make a Tax Credit Donation TO ACP MIDDLE SCHOOL
Arizona tax law allows individual taxpayers to claim a nonrefundable tax credit for making contributions or paying fees directly to a public school in AZ for support of eligible activities and programs.
ACP Parents
All extracurricular activity fees for students are now paid online thru the InTouch Fee Payment System accessible through the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus.
Student fees for the 2022-2023 school year will begin being posted in August.
Fees for music, clubs, sports, and field trip fees, etc. are assigned separately throughout the school year.
At the junior high level, the school office is unable to reallocate / redirect funds without parent and district approval. Be sure to select the specific fee for the activity where you want your payment applied. Sports fees are assigned quarterly and club fees are assigned once established.
When paying fees online (band/ orchestra, club or athletics fees, etc.), please consider making an additional contribution to our general fund in December to reach the maximum credit allowable.

Once you have paid all outstanding fees for ACP Middle School or if you have a family member that resides in AZ, please consider making an additional tax credit contribution to ACP's general fund before December 31st. If you are able to make your tax contributions prior to the end of the calendar year, your donation would be greatly appreciated. It will help give us a jump start on some of our essential extracurricular activities. We have set a goal to collect approximately $50,000.00 this school year and hope that you will be willing to help us meet our goal. Thank you for supporting your child and ACP Middle School!
Tax Credit Basics…
A tax credit donation is a full refund, not a deduction. Contributions eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to schools, not to the state or school district. To participate or learn more, follow the link listed below to donate online or you can complete the enclosed form and submit your contribution at your convenience.
http://www.cusd80.com/taxcredit
Arizona Law ARS 43-1089.01 enables taxpayers a tax credit contribution of up to $400.00 per year if filing status is “Married, filing Joint Return;” $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is “Single of Head of Household;” and $200 per calendar year if filing status is “Married filing separate returns.” These contributions fund extracurricular activities in public schools and greatly impact our school community and our students.
If you are reading this, first thank you and second you are a winner. Please email me so I can give you your prize.
