FFA Annual Chapter T-Shirts:
Cost: $15 (make checks to MCMS)
Last day to order & pay is Aug. 30.

FFA North Region Rally
When is it?: September 5-6
Where is it?: FFA Camp in Covington
Who can attend?: FFA members
Cost?: $55 (this covers the cost of bus transportation, registration, Rally t-shirt, lodging, & food.
Note: Space is limited to the first 12 members that bring back both Permission Forms and money!
- Pick up forms from Mrs. Hartley
- All forms must be turned in by Aug. 20!
6th Grade Representatives
What do 6th Grade Representatives do?: represent the 6th grade FFA members as part of the leadership team. Help develop & plan activities for FFA meeting & stand-in for opening ceremonies if a line officer is absent at meetings.

The first Dairy Evaluation CDE practice is on Sept. 9 from 3:45 to 4:45 in the agriculture room.
The contest days are Dec. 13-14.

FFA Middle School Model of Excellence National Finalist
The Morgan County Middle FFA chapter of Madison, Georgia, has been chosen as a finalist to compete for a 2019 National FFA Middle School Model of Excellence award from the National FFA Organization. The National Chapter Award program recognizes outstanding FFA chapters from throughout the country that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization. These chapters improve chapter operations using the National Quality FFA Chapter Standards and a Program of Activities that emphasizes growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture. Chapters are rewarded for providing educational experiences for the entire membership. Middle school chapters that received high three-star ratings during judging late July are eligible to compete for the Middle School Model of Excellence award, the highest honor awarded to a middle school FFA chapter by the National FFA Organization. Five FFA chapters will compete in a presentation and interview process for the top honor at the 2019 National FFA Convention & Expo, Oct. 30 – Nov. 2 in Indianapolis.The FFA chapter selected to receive the Middle School Model of Excellence award will be announced on stage during convention.
