Phalen Flyer
PLA@George H. Fisher School 93
Greetings PLA Families,
This week we celebrated our scholar's achievements for all of their hard work during the first quarter. We hosted our school's honor ceremony for all grade levels during the school day. Scholars were recognized for multiple categories including: honor roll, perfect attendance and outstanding behavior.
I want to thank all parents and families for making our transition to 11:20 dismissal flawless on our early release day. We had all scholars picked up on time. This allowed all staff to be present for our professional development. The next early release will be on Tuesday, November 22nd at 11:20. Thank you for your support.
As a reminder, daylight savings time ends this weekend. Remember to set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night.
Tuesday, November 8th is Election Day. Our school will be utilized as a polling site. For this reason, scholars will be learning virtually. You can expect your child to come home on Monday with work to complete on Tuesday. All assignments for November 8th will be due on Tuesday, November 15th.
PLA@93's Fall Festival will be on Wednesday, November 16th. More details below.
Would you like to help our school and complete your grocery shopping at the same time? With Box Tops for Education, you can!! You no longer have to clip the box tops from the packaging. Simply scan your receipt with your phone and earn points for our school. More information can be found below. We appreciate your support!
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Mr. Hendricks

Parent ESSER Survey
Parents, we need your help. PLA93 has received money from the federal government and we would appreciate your input as to how you would like this money spent. ESSER is a stimulus and emergency COVID relief funding stream authorized as part of the CRRSA Act enacted on December 27, 2020. This additional funding stream is intended to help states and school districts safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the nation’s students. We are working to hear the voice of our stakeholders when determining use of funds. The allocations are only designated for very specific areas. Please provide us your feedback no later than December 23, 2022 using the following link: https://www.phalenacademies.org/essersurvey
