News ths Quarter
Each grade has focused this quarter on striking. We have used our hands to strike balloons and volleyballs. We spent 2 weeks on Racketmania. Not only did we use paddles and rackets for striking skills, we learned the parts of a racket. Our final striking skill was with our feet. The best soccer lead up game was " Hot Spots" Each student would dribble a ball out to a spot and try to score a goal. If they scored a goal then they would be able to keep that spot for a point.
The students then participated in Track and Field skills. We learned to throw a shot put, discus, and Javelin (a pool noodle). We ran the hurdles and our favorite event was the relay. The students enjoyed running and passing the baton to each other.

Field Day 2015
A big thank you to Mrs. Leslie for 2 years of great coordinating in organizing Field Day. The picture is what field day looks like in its planning stages. Parents, thank you for participating with your time and donations. Field Day was a great success! If you would like to help coordinate next year, please send your contact information to Mrs. Church.
Basketball Buffum Style
A big thank you to Mr. Buffum (Caroline and Victoria's Dad) who came and shared basketball skills with some classes. Mr. Buffum is a former NC State basketball team member and the kids really enjoy it when he comes to slam dunk!
