LMS Policies and Responsibilities
Involvement Opportunity
Principal Ogle is seeking support from Lamar parents/guardians, community members, and local businesses to serve on the Lamar Campus Improvement Committee (CIC).
This committee will meet six times throughout the school year, virtually from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. The CIC will discuss and support campus goals and objectives, curriculum, staffing, budgetary, and student initiatives.

Christmas Assistance
If your family would like Christmas assistance from the Salvation Army, please contact your child’s school counselor. Applications are limited and must be submitted by October 8.

iPads and Chargers
All students need to bring their charged device and charger to school with them every day.
Charger cords and plug-in bricks can be purchased on campus. Cords are $6 and plug-in bricks are $7.

Arrival and Dismissal
- Doors will open for students at 7:45 am.
- School begins at 8:15 am and dismissed at 3:45 pm.
- Students should be on campus by 8:10 am and be picked up by 4:00 pm.
Lunch
Please be aware that parents and guardians cannot drop off lunch for their student this year due to COVID protocols.
Bus Routes
Dress Code
- Students must visibly wear their school-issued ID while on campus each school day and at all after school events.
- School approved tops must be non-branded collared shirts and can be any solid color.
- School approved pants/capris must be pleated or non-pleated slacks. Capris must touch the kneecap or below.
- School approved shorts and skirts must be no more than 2” above the kneecap.
- School approved sweatshirts, hoodies, and jackets worn in the building must be plain solid colors, college, Irving ISD high school, or Lamar spirit-wear.
- Outerwear that has printed brand names is not school approved and cannot be worn in the building.
- Hoods and hats cannot to be worn in the building, including individual classrooms.
Football and Volleyball Games
Students must be accompanied by a guardian to attend any athletic event at any middle school in Irving ISD
Yearbook
Buy a Yearbook! We still have yearbooks from ’19-’20 ($10) and ’20-’21 ($30) available to purchase on campus with cash or check. Checks must have driver’s license #, phone number, and include your child’s name and ID #.
