Valentine's Day exchange

Fourth-graders will exchange Valentine's Day cards in the morning, Friday, Feb. 12. Here's what you need to know:

  • Students can bring a bag or box from home for cards. Decorate as much or as little as you like, and bring the bag/box to school on Feb. 12.
  • If you are bringing cards, please bring them for all students.
  • Your homeroom teacher should have emailed to you a class list with student names.

Please contact your child's homeroom teacher with questions. Thanks!

YEE-HAW! WESTERN DAY ON FEB. 18

Howdy, pardners! We're about to get immersed in some old-fashioned cowboy lingo, as fourth-graders dive deep into the Cattle Drive, an exciting time in Texas (and American) history. To celebrate our learning, we're inviting students to dress up in their best western wear on Thursday, Feb. 18. Plaid shirts, blue jeans, cowboy hats, boots -- or even a simple bandana!

40-BOOK CHALLENGE

Fourth-graders have been challenged this school year to read 40 books from specific genres. Parker Grace Ferguson is the first student this year to complete the challenge. Way to go, Parker Grace! We look forward to celebrating more voracious readers this winter and spring! Forms are available online. Click here.

Morning drop-off reminder

Students do not need to wait for someone to open their door to exit to the curb.

As long as the line of cars is stopped and you are next to the curb, please have your student(s) exit on the curb side and walk along the sidewalk to the Pod 3 doors.

This will greatly improve the wait time and reduce tardies. Thank you!

Spelling tests are available online

If your child misplaces the weekly spelling list, never fear! You can access the list online. Click here for current spelling lists.

Need to report an absence? Change dismissal? Please email!

Absences and dismissal changes must be sent to the front office. The email address for both is hosp@friscoisd.org. Dismissal changes need to be sent by noon the day of the change. Thank you!
