We are now in the season of Advent, with the first candle of the Advent wreath representing Hope. The students shared their meaning of the Advent wreath with great wisdom in today’s Monday Morning Prayer: the wreath is in the shape of a circle to represent God’s infinite love for us, and we are waiting with great hope for the birth of the Christ Child. I am always amazed at our students’ depth of understanding!

Parents, please join us on Wednesday morning at 8:00am in the library for morning prayer and our annual Spelling Bee.

Advent blessings,

Ann Walters

First Grade Bakes and Breaks Bread

For the eighth year, Mrs. Gomez's First Graders have filled the school with the smell of freshly baked bread on the last day of school before the Thanksgiving holidays. When the bread is done, Mrs. Gomez gathers the students in a circle, sing the Our Father, then enjoy a slice of bread and butter.

What a lovely tradition and way of giving thanks.
