RHS Parent Weekly Update
Riverside High School Sept. 20 - Sept. 24
Greetings Pirate Family,
Let's make this week phenomenal! We are very proud of the work and effort our students have been contributing this year. Please continue to encourage your students to be present and on time whenever they are well and able to attend classes. Teachers and RHS staff will begin documenting student tardies this week.
We have seen great success with our fall courses and are excited about our progress reports accessible to parents via Power School this week. Again, we thank you for your support.
As a reminder, schools are not allowed to have outside food from vendors during lunch, including food deliveries from outside agencies. We also ask that students not bring outside food and drinks on campus during the school day due to COVID precautions with unmasking in classrooms while eating and drinking. Students will be asked to throw away food and drink items before entering the building. This is for the safety of all students and staff. SMART lunch will continue, and we are encouraging students to eat outside whenever possible and be aware of their lunch buddies each day.
In addition, if your student is unwell or feeling sick, please keep them at home until they are symptom-free, have a negative COVID test, or have another diagnosis from a medical professional. If your student is unwell, please call (919-560-3965)or email (Tonya McKoy) in the main office to notify the school.
If your student should be diagnosed with COVID-19, please immediately contact the school using the above information. In addition, there are specific protocols in place that include but are not limited to quarantining, contact tracing, and notifications that must occur.
Thank you for your assistance in helping us keep all students and staff safe.
