What's Happening in 1st Grade with Ms. Geschwind?

First grade has been learning about money and goods and services over the past 2 weeks. The students have been working hard to earn money and have created their own "mini shops" to sell goods to their friends. They have spent the last week creating their goods and decorating their shops for opening day! Yesterday, the kids finally had the chance to open their shops and sell to one another. They had so much fun! I attached some photos to this email🙂

  2. Easy English Newspaper: Monthly Subscription that is free at all of their locations (Main, South, & North).
  3. CMPL Online Newsletter w/ events over the summer, including the Summer Reading program (both for students and adults) which begins June 12th:
  4. English Conversation Group - where adults can practice their speaking skills registration: Participants can register using a library card, a Virtual Library card (a student’s ID number, and the last 4 digits of one’s phone number as the PIN) or by calling 586-226-5040.
  5. English Made Easy for Kids Arabic Material – All other language materials are also available on OverDrive and Hoopla.
