Working from home
To get access to your P: drive, it is recommended that you upload the contents to a folder in your Google Drive. You will need to be at your computer at school to copy the contents.
Right-click in the middle and select New Folder. Name it “P drive.”
Open the file explorer (Windows Key + E) on your computer and go to your P: drive.
Select all or some of the folders inside the P: drive. Drag and drop those files/folders onto your webpage that has your Google Drive open.
Do this for all the files you would like to be able to access.
NOTE: This process may take several minutes or more depending on how much data you are copying.
Be aware of the file type when accessing your files from your Google Drive. If they are a Microsoft Word Doc, or a Smartboard Notebook file, you may want to download the file to your computer and use the appropriate program instead of letting Google attempt to convert the file to a web version.
If you are unable to go to your site, please let GAPS.IT know so that we can assist you with transferring your data.
