Proposed Q-Comp Goal
After sharing and discussing a potential Q-Comp goal on September 20, I felt there was significant interest in having a goal that reflected growth as opposed to a proficiency rate. After working with Alan Thompson and looking at the state goal templates, there was only one template that reflected a growth goal, so I used that template to draft a proposed Gatewood Q-Comp goal for this year:
The percentage of all students in grades 3-6 at Gatewood Elementary who meet or exceed their fall to spring individual RIT Growth Projection on the NWEA MAP in Reading will increase from 48.2% in spring 2018 to 50.0% in spring 2019.
If you have questions about this or believe we should rethink this, please let me know. Thank you.
