We Want You! 2 B a P2P Investor!
Important Information: Student Arrival Time
Students are not allowed in the building before 8 AM unless they have a pass for a specific teacher, date and time.
If a student arrives at school before 8 AM they will need to wait in front until the building is open.
We wish we could allow all students in upon their arrival, but there have been some issues with students roaming the building before 8 AM. It is not safe to allow this to continue and we need your help with this matter.
Chromebook distribution day is coming soon!
Next Wednesday, August 28 during 1st period all students that have paid their insurance will receive a Chromebook, case and a charger. All insurance payments are due Sunday, August 25th at midnight in order to be on the distribution list for Wednesday. If the insurance is not paid by this Sunday, students will not receive a Chromebook. Chromebooks are distributed each Wednesday, therefore, if students are not able to receive their Chromebook on the 28th, they will have to wait until the next distribution day which will be Sept 4th. Our goal is 100% of students will receive Chromebooks next week!
PICTURE DAY
Cheer Clinic
We are excited to announce that the cheer clinic has been scheduled for September 7. Clinic will begin at 9 AM (check-in at Doerre cafeteria) and will end at 2 PM. The show off will take place in the Doerre gym at 1:30 pm.
The cheer clinic is something the Doerre cheer squad throws each year where athletes ages kindergarten through 6th grade come to learn cheers, dances, jumps, etc. from our Doerre cheerleaders. The cost is $40. The athletes can also cheer with the Doerre cheerleaders at the football game on September 10.
To register, parents and guardians can go to the Doerre Cheer Website (bit.ly/DoerreCheer *this is case sensitive*) or to bit.ly/doerreclinic2019. Registration closes on September 5, but if an athlete is registered by August 24 they are guaranteed a tshirt. They will pay through SchoolCashOnline. When the portal in SchoolCashOnline goes live, they will receive an email with a link to pay.
Notes from the Crossing Guards to Cut Down on Traffic
2. Please do NOT pick up students in the middle of the road. They are running across traffic. This is dangerous and is holding up other cars.
3. When pulling onto or out of Warrior Way, do not block the crosswalk.
4. Please be present when driving around children. Watch for students at crosswalks, drive through crosswalks cautiously, knowing that students aren't paying attention.
5. Please follow the speed limits. School zones are 20 MPH max.....
6. Please tell your child that all students need to completely get off of their bikes and scooters when walking through a crosswalk.
Basic Doerre Information
Food and Drinks
We understand that there are exceptions and that there may be someone with a medical condition that needs quick access to a snack or a drink, this is not the issue.
Water bottles are okay, everyone needs an occasional drink....as long as they have a screw on top and are securely stored inside of backpacks. This water may not be taken out in classrooms if a teacher does not allow it or in hallways. The water may also not be out around any Chromebooks due to insurance purposes.
Thank you so much for your help in this!
EARLY DISMISSALS
Doerre Counselors are here to help!
If you have questions or concerns regarding academic planning, college and career readiness, and/ or addressing social/emotional needs of your warrior - please reach out to us. At Doerre, the Counselors loop with their students; meaning once a student enters Doerre they will have the same Counselor till they leave for high school. This year the Counselors are using a Google Form for parents and students to request appointments with their Counselors. Each grade level form has been linked in Schoology and has been posted on our Doerre Counselor's webpage. Also, there are signs with QR codes for student access. Below is our contact information
