FAC Weekly Update
February 4, 2022
Good afternoon, Fine Arts Center Family
We hope that you and yours have had a wonderful week. February is upon us, and our students are hard at work in preparation for their spring performances and adjudicated art shows. We have a new edition of Crashtest Magazine hot off the (digital) presses, and will soon be announcing the award winners from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. There's a lot to be excited about at the FAC!
Here is the latest from the halls of the Fine Arts Center...
This Week's Student Leadership Lesson
To Teamwork, Add Friendship
Why do I recommend that you work to develop friendships on the job?
Friendship is the foundation of influence. Good friendships make influence possible, and friendship is the most positive relationship you can develop on the job with your coworkers.
Friendship is the framework for success. Theodore Roosevelt said, "The most important single ingredient in the formula of success is knowing how to get along with people." Without it, most achievements are not possible, and even what we to achieve can feel hollow.
Friendship is the shelter against sudden storms. Don't just be a team member - be a friend to those you work with.

Crashtest Magazine - Latest Edition
Volume 11, issue 2 of Crashtest is now available at https://readymag.com/u21126619/3360199/. Crashtest is a biannual online magazine founded and run by the creative writing students at the Fine Arts Center.
Crashtest is "a place to publish work that tests limits, asks questions, rejects the easy answers, risks obliteration, believes in failure, is suspicious of scripted success."
Congratulations to Jonimarie Purtle!
