Summer School Information
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are excited to be launching our first remote learning Title I Summer School. This letter is to confirm that your child has been registered for summer school. The remote summer school program will be focused on maintaining social-emotional connections and reducing summer learning regression in language arts and math.
When: July 8 - July 30, 2020 *Mondays through Thursdays ONLY
Time: 9 am to 11:00 am
Daily Schedule:
9:00- 10:30 --- Daily ZOOM Instruction (ELA and/or Math)
10:30-11:00 --- Independent Work (ELA, and/or Math)
Where: Online
Students will engage with their teacher and classmates through live teaching experiences via ZOOM and will also have flexibility to complete activities and projects on their own.
Materials and Supplies: Every student will receive a math workbook, reading workbook (K-2) or a novel (grades 3-5). In addition, students will receive all of the school supplies needed for summer school (such as markers, glue, scissors, etc.).
Chromebooks/iPads: Students will need their chromebooks/iPads to engage in remote learning. Please make sure that your child’s device is working. If it is broken or or needs attention, send an email to support@nssd112.org.
We look forward to working with your child this summer! If you have any questions, please contact me at (224) 765-3100 or acengel@nssd112.org
