Joe Kinder
First Year Student - University of Notre Dame Australia
Personal Information
Personal Information:
My name is Joe Kinder and I was born on the 14th October in 1995, in Perth WA. I am one of six children. I am currently in my first year of a Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of Notre Dame and in 2012 I graudated from John XXIII College.
Education:
Whilst in my final year of school I studied English, Maths, Italian, History and Religion - each at Year 12/3AB level. During my time at the College I was made captain of the First XV Rugby and First XI Cricket teams. Upon graduating, I was awarded with the John XXIII College Service Award (awarded to a student from each graudating year, due to their involvement and service in different facets of College life).
Desire to persue Teaching as a career:
I have always had a desire to persue a career in which I am providing aid or assisting people in one way or another. Whilst on a school Pilgrimage to Vietnam, where we worked with children living in orphanges for disabled children, I came to the realisation of how thoroughly I enjoyed working with children and teaching them things at a young age. Since returning from this trip my desire to work with children has been compounded through working with children through programs offered at John XXIII College.
