Reminder!!
This Week in Kindergarten
The students are learning to write letters correctly and to identify their sounds. It is important that all students are able to write their upper and lower case letters and their names correctly (capital letter first and then lower case). Students are also learning basic number sense and are practicing number writing. This week and next week, our focus is on numbers 1-10. We will discuss the value of these numbers, number order, and more/less. You can help your child by practicing these items at home and making sure that they are doing them correctly. Have students practice touching and counting 8 pennies or 5 cheerios. Also, students must be able to count to 100 by 1's and 10's. You can help your child with this by playing games with them in the car or while they are playing outside. This is a skill that students can learn with movement which makes learning more fun! In Social Studies, we will assess students on where they live. Please make sure to review these items.
