Instructional Rounds

Discover Great Strategies & Instructional Practices

More Information :

What are instructional rounds?
  • A PD opportunity where teachers observe their peers teaching at another site.
  • Teachers will be split into small groups of 3-4 with a teacher trained in facilitating peer observation groups from that site.
  • Groups will visit classrooms for 10-12 minutes and record trends and patterns.
  • The day culminates with a lunchtime debrief to talk about what you can apply to your own teaching practice.

PLEASE NOTE: You may NOT sign up to observe at your own site.

Purpose:
  • To observe instructional strategies in a variety of subject areas
  • To gain insights about teaching and learning that you can apply in your subject area and classroom.

When and Where:

Timing: Meet at 8:30 at the site. Lunch is provided and the day concludes at 1:30 pm.

How to Register:

Sign up by sending an email to Jennie Tomasino with the date you would like to attend. We will take a certain number of teachers from each site for each day. If these events are popular, more dates will be added.
