Alne Hall

A reminder about our annual Carol Singing visit to Alne Hall (Leonard Cheshire Home) this evening at 7.30pm. Please aim to arrive around 7.15pm and bring your red Ding Dong Merrily folders. I will supply music for any additional carols and also for those who don’t have Ding Dong folders.

Finding Alne Hall

For those not sure of the exact location the postcode for your satnav is YO61 1SA.

If you rely on more traditional navigation (like me) then from York head north towards Easingwold on the A19 from the Rawcliffe Bar roundabout (A1237/A19 junction). Continue until you come to the Tollerton/Huby crossroads junction. Turn left and go through Tollerton heading west towards Alne and Helperby. At the first crossroads you will turn right towards Alne and the Leonard Cheshire Home driveway entrance is on your right hand side just as you enter the village. (Allow 20 minutes for your journey from the Rawcliffe Bar roundabout.)

If, for any reason you miss the Tollerton junction don’t panic, continue north on the A19 towards Easingwold and you’ll see a left hand turn signposted to Alne. This will bring you into Alne village after 2 miles and you will need to drive through the village on Main Street, turning left onto Monk Green and the driveway entrance will be on your left hand side at the road junction.

After sharing some festive cheer with the residents at Alne Hall we will retire to The Beechwood Hotel (Shipton Road, near the Rugby Club) for some festive celebrations and a light supper.
