1st Annual Battle Ground High School Smash Brothers Invitational
Do you play Super Smash Brothers Ultimate? Register for the 1st Annual BGHS Smash Brothers Invitational organized by BGHS Esports. Represent your school and be the champion! Trophies and prize packs for 1st - 3rd, and a travel trophy to the winning school to display for a year! Spread the word! We are also looking for streamers, casters, or Esports fans to help produce and broadcast the event. For more information contact Rob Pollock.
Battle Ground Band Boosters Christmas Tree Lot is opening
Friday 11/25 9am - 7pm
Gorgeous locally sourced Noble, Nordmann, and Grand Fir trees.
Pricing varies by size and tree type
Albertsons corner lot 20th and Main - Battle Ground.
Hours M-Th. 3p-630p
Fridays (after 11/25) 1-7pm
Weekends 9a-7p
Will be open daily until sold out.

- Outside Guests Allowed (with guest dance contract) - One dance contract needed per year.
Book Club
We would love to invite students to attend our Room B14 Book Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 2:30 to 3:00 pm.
Our new book will be "Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes" by Chris Crutcher. The book is 290 pages and we are able to check copies out in the library.
We plan to start our new book on November 15 and plan on finishing by Winter break
Another Successful Weekend for our Speech and Debate Team!
Congratulations to the Speech and Debate team for competing in the Guardian Invitational this weekend hosted by Ida B Wells High School in Portland. A special congratulations to Senior Jacob Richins for placing third in the Informative Speaking event!

Get Support with Applying for Financial Aid
Do you need money for college or career training? Do you have questions about financial aid? There are people and programs available to help:
- The 12th Year Campaign and partners are hosting virtual financial aid info and filing events to help students and families learn more and apply for aid.
- The Washington State Student Loan Education Site helps families better understand education costs and considerations.
- OtterBot is a free texting service that sends financial aid info and reminders to high school seniors and juniors who signed up for the College Bound Scholarship. Get started by texting "Hi Otter" to 360-928-7281.
- Connect with the financial aid office at any colleges you’re considering. Your high school counselor can also answer questions and direct you to more resources.
Financial aid applications are now available for the 2023-24 school year that begins next fall. Learn more, get support, and apply for financial aid at wsac.wa.gov/apply.

Attention Seniors and Parents! Poinsettia and wreath pick up is Saturday, December 3rd from 1-5. We need volunteers to sign up for shifts using this Signup Genius link.
