Principal's Update - Mary Quigley

Dear Parents,

After watching the Super Bowl last night and seeing how well the Broncos played defense,

I was thinking about the life lesson that we might take away from this. With all the conversations about Cam and Peyton, I am imagining that many children maybe aspiring to be like them, when in reality it really was a team effort that helped the Broncos' win and didn't help the Panthers. So often at our primary level, children always think about being first, which sometimes causes problems when they are not first. Talking about the lessons learned from the Super Bowl may help some children put this in perspective. Thanks!

WAS PTO President's UPDATE Michelle Lease

I have exciting news to share about After School Enrichment for next year...all four spots on the ASE team have been filled!! We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful parent community at WAS!! I also wanted to mention that our special events day is just around the corner and we have a handful of spots still open. We would love your help making it a success. Please consider volunteering, it's a really fun day for parents and students. Hope everyone has a terrific winter break!

PTO Thank you's

Ann Loftus, Shannon Matter, Nicole Polychronopoulos & Jamie Callahan for stepping up to run ASE next year! Thanks to all the room parents for their work in organizing the Valentines parties this week and all the parents who signed up to help with the party. Also a thank you to all the parents who have helped out on the carline & lunch/recess duty this year! We really appreciate it!
