Group of parents to provide low cost or free events (I.e. picnic and food, movie night) along with fund-raisers. Made $15K from holiday shop.
Paying for overdue lunch balances
Clothing drive (gloves, hats, etc.)

LEO Club
WHO: high school club with focus on community service- youth version of lion’s club
What:
· Fall celebration with volunteers
· Stuff Easter Eggs
· Clean Cemetery for Memorial Day
· Assist with Easter egg event
· Beach clean up
· Other events when needed
· Care closet maintenance
NEED – how to get students to volunteer—need more.
- Suggestion—hold one meeting at Middle School with HS students mentoring ES. Paula needs sponsor/teacher from middle school to assist. (M. Flatt will check on contact)
When: Meets Monday 3-4pm in high school shop class- open to high school students only
Boy Scouts Troop 484
Provide outdoor experiences, youth leadership training, citizen development, life skills
Connect youth to community

Eagle Scout Projects
When: Meets Monday Nights 6:30 pm at highland Lutheran church
Needs:
Merit badge counselors- specific skill areas- speak with scouts about the topic

La Center Lions Club
36 years in community
Service Organization / international club too (very large)—created by zones
LC has 40 members (average 15-20 / meeting)
Service Organization- focus on Hearing, sight, diabetes, disaster community needs
Mission is “we serve”
Walk & knock- first Saturday in Dec.
Easter Egg Hunt & Breakfast- Saturday before Easter-4/11/2020
Chain gang for H.S.-Fall 35 years

Health screening-sight & hearing- Nov.

Needs:
more members, both volunteer and participants; some events are more popular with respect to volunteers than others.
