2021-2022 School Year - October 4th, 2021

End of Term 1

I hope this newsletter finds you well!

This Friday marks the end of our 1st 9-week grading term. We have also completed 37 of our 180 school days. Please take some time to do a quick check on your child's grades and reach out to teachers if you have any questions or concerns. It is very common for students to try and wait until the end of the 9-weeks to get their grades up.

We were able to hold our 1st pep rally of the year, with the junior class winning the spirit stick. It was great to see our students together and having some fun.

Just an FYI, but as we head into the 2nd 9 weeks, the Semester grade is the only grade that shows up on the official transcripts that are sent to colleges and with applications. The semester grade is made up of term 1 and term 2 grades along with the semester exam (finals). So if a student has a low 1st 9-weeks grade, they can still do well the 2nd 9-weeks and on their final exam to get a higher semester grade for the official transcript.

Have a great week!

It's Sectional Time

We have already had our girls' golf team win sectional and boys tennis finish out their season with a 4-1 loss to sectional champion Jennings County. We now have our b/g soccer, b/g cross country, and volleyball teams heading into post-season play.

This week we have Boys Soccer traveling to Scottsburg on Tuesday for a 7:30 p.m. slate with host Scottsburg.

Our girls' soccer team will be hosting this year's sectional and get underway on Wednesday with a 7:30 start vs N. Harrison.

Our b/g cross country teams head into Sectionals this Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

Volleyball finishes up their regular season this week and begin sectional play next week.

Good Luck to all our teams. Bring home the hardware!
