War for Texas Independence
We Americans did not want Texas to become part of British Empire. We concluded that Texas must not become a satellite of England so we admitted it to the union as the 28th state of America
Texas in 1845 caused a rupture between the US and Mexico. Mexico tried to claim Texas as their own territory. President James K. Polk later found out that the Mexican forces had attacked the companies along the Rio Grande. We immediately demanded war!
