Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. Each event challenges organically-formed teams of attendees in a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders and venture capitalists with opportunity for critical feedback.

Keynote Speaker: Peter Wilson
Engineering Director, Facebook
Peter Wilson has held leadership positions at Microsoft, Google and (currently) Facebook. In 2010 he co-founded Rel8tion, a mobile advertising startup, which was acquired by Facebook in 2011. He has a degree in Computer Science from London University's Imperial College, and he lives in Kirkland.
