School clean up

Saturday put a huge smile on my face and a renewal in my spirit. I came in early and watched the parking lot reveal the dedicated community members that took time to help clean up the grounds here at Roswell North. Girls on the run created a lemonade stand and sold tasty treats to each hard worker. What an awesome display of community and hard work. This is the organic lesson each parent cherishes with their children. A hands on lesson in putting in what you want to get out. I am so thankful to each parent, student, volunteer, and staff member that sacrifice their Saturday to be an example and teach a lesson that will never be learned alone in a text book.

Monday we will take time out to honor our volunteers to contribute so much to the RNE community. Taking time to say thank you to this group is so important! I hope to see many of you at this celebration!

The count down has started for field day! What a fabulous day is planned for us all! The extended weather forecast shows sun! Stay tuned for more information next week!

I wish all of our Mother's the best as you are celebrated and honored this weekend!

Best,

Maureen

School Supplies for 2016-2017

While we still have two more weeks of this school year, the PTA is already gearing up for the 2016-2017 school year. We have partnered with Educational Products to prepackage and ship school supplies directly to school . This is a convenient way to get everything your child needs for the classroom.

The sale will run from May 9th thru June 30th. Go to www.educationalproducts.com/shoppacks. Enter RNE’s School ID - ROS145 - and follow the directions to complete your order. Supplies will be shipped to school for you and your child to pick up in the Gym during Open House in August. A flyer will be sent home in the backpacks shortly.

Please email Jessica Schumacher (jessicaschumacher@me.com) or Caryn Saker (cesaker@bellsouth.net) with questions.

SPLOST

Dear parents and community members,

Fulton’s Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) has accomplished much during the past five years. Following are a few highlights of projects completed since 2012: five new or replacement schools opened, four middle school additions were completed, 33 playgrounds and 23 gyms were replaced at elementary schools, new security cameras were installed in all district buses along with visitor access control installed in all schools, and more than 20,000 computers were refreshed or deployed to teachers, schools and employees. To learn more about completed projects and proposed new projects, visit www.fulltonschools.org/SPLOST or contact SPLOSTInfo@fultonschools.org. Investing in Fulton’s future: one penny at a time!
