Ramadan Dinner and Family Bonding
Children's Wishing Well (Bukit Merah) had an intimate Ramadan Dinner gathering spread over two Friday nights to get to know our families better and to check in on how they are doing.
"Last time my daughter cannot (do) Math. Now (she) can plus and minus."
"My children love coming here. Thank you for guiding them."
Families broke their fast with some dates and had a delicious Domino's meal. We even had some home-made kueh courtesy of our in-house cook. After dinner, our children presented the Hari Raya Appreciation cards they made for their parents/guardians.
"You're my best friend" a mother told her 11-year old daughter who blinked back tears.
"I love you gong gong!" our 7 year old exclaimed as she enveloped her grandfather in a bear hug.
Our hearts melted at the little interactions we witnessed. Many thanks to our kind sponsor, Mr Meghal for sponsoring our delicious meal and allowing us to share a meal with our children and parents to get to know them better.

Thank you for your unwavering support in a very troubled year for many. None of this would have been possible without your time, effort, monetary contributions, and unwavering support. You have made a tremendous difference in the children's lives.
We hope you can continue to support us throughout 2021 and beyond!
Life Skills - Making Food and Nutrition Fun
Learning about food and nutrition can be fun and interactive!
Following an engaging Fridge Dectective workshop last month, our children were fortunate to attend a second nutrition workshop earlier this month before further Covid-19 restrictions kicked in. This hands-on My Health & Food workshop was organised and sponsored by AIA Singapore and conducted by the lovely team at Health Can Be Fun.
During the session, they learnt about the health benefits and types of antioxidants present in different coloured foods. Our children got crafty and designed their very own tote bag, detailing the colours which are good for our health. What a creative way to remember the colours while shopping for ingredients at the supermarket! Our grateful thanks once again to AIA for making these enriching workshops possible for our children!

Groceries for Disadvantaged Families Campaign
"Thank you for helping my family," our beneficiary H shared gratefully as he came to collect packed groceries at our centre with his younger sister. Our children and families have started collecting groceries from our centres this week. Each of these bags contain essential food items like rice, cooking oil, cereal, Milo etc.
With the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic last year, we decided to expand our Reach for the Stars programme to include groceries sponsorship. This programme aims to support children and their families as they go through challenging times, in the form of groceries. The siblings in the picture above are two amongst many others who have greatly benefitted from this program.
The recent increase in Covid-19 cases has caused many of our beneficiaries to face another period of uncertainty. Help us to continue supporting our growing number of families by donating towards our campaigns or reaching out to us at info@wishingwell.org.sg. We require $200 per month to support some of our families with higher needs and $30 to pack each of the grocery bags for all our families.

Thank you for your kind support!
Your contribution counts!
1. Against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, adaptability in the face of adversity is key and we have tweaked the services we provide to respond to the most pressing needs of our families. It is of utmost importance that no child goes hungry and always has something nutritious to eat. Any amount you contribute, big or small, will go a long way in supporting them, be it funding a hot meal or a tuition lesson. Click on the following link to make a donation:

2. Our Children Enrichment Programme is a holistic child development programme which aims to realise the aspirations of children from low-income families and disadvantaged backgrounds. Your contribution will enable us to support more children and help ensure that this valuable programme continues to run. Support this fundraising campaign at -
