In addition to teaching High School Literature he has served his school as the journalism teacher, Academic Decathlon coach, Department Chair, WASC accreditation coordinator and this year became the Fountain Valley High School Student Teacher Academy Coordinator. | Henry Thiele Dr. Henry (Hank) Thiele is the Assistant Superintendent for Technology and Learning in the Maine 207 Schools in Park Ridge, IL. In this role he serves students and teachers by providing resources and communication and its impact on personalizing education. |

Jordan Pedraza Jordan Pedraza is a Global Program Manager at Google, Inc on the Education team in Mountain View. With over 7 years of educational technology experience in higher and K-12 education, she is responsible for the strategy, platforms, and programs serving Google’s education communities of educators, school administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure these groups can make the most out of Google’s tools for teaching and learning. | Esther Wojcicki Esther Wojcicki has been teaching Journalism and English at Palo Alto High School, Palo Alto, California for the past 30 years. She has been the driving force behind the development of its award-winning journalism program, which is now the largest in the U.S. with 600 students, five teachers and a new 25,000 sq. ft. Media Arts Center (2014). She worked as the Google educational consultant and helped design the Google Teacher Outreach program. | Sean ZIebarth After working in the music industry for sixteen years, as a disc jockey and later as an A&R rep, Sean began his teaching career at his alma mater—Fountain Valley High School. Sean teaches AP English Language and Composition and journalism as the adviser of both the student newspaper (Baron Banner) and video broadcast (BBN). Sean was recently recognized as the Huntington Beach Union High School District Teacher of the Year. |

CUE Learning Rev Online Summit Featuring Google for Education

We’re taking Google education summits online!
CUE and The Learning Revolution Project, the producers of the Google Teacher Academy and the Global Education Conference, are joining forces to expand globally connective opportunities for educators. This September, these organizations will be hosting the first ever Online Summit Featuring Google for Education, highlighting the work of Google Certified Teachers, Google Education Trainers, Google Educators and Googlers themselves.
This event will take place entirely online on September 6th and 7th from 9 AM to 6 PM each day (PST/GMT-7). All sessions will be recorded via Google Hangouts on Air. The cost to attend is $40 for both days. This also includes an annual membership to CUE. Registrants will have access to recordings indefinitely.

Conference Strands
- Search Literacy
Presentations in this category will focus on techniques, strategies, and lessons related to supporting teachers and students in their understanding of search.
- Leveraging Devices and Apps
This strand will focus on topics related to using Chrome, Chromebooks and Android devices. Google Apps for Education sessions will also be included in this strand.
- Digital Citizenship
Sessions related to promoting the safe and effective use of technology in general are part of this strand. Topics can include acceptable use policies, digital citizenship curriculum, internet filtering etc. and ideally will include Google’s resources for supporting smart and safe use of technology.
- IT/GAFE Management
Geared towards IT administrators and CIOs, this summit strand addresses technical and implementation topics related to GAFE and other Google products.
- STEM and Computer Science
Google has been a strong supporter of STEM initiatives in K12 and higher education. Sessions listed under this strand will highlight these programs and also give presenters the opportunity to showcase any of their own related projects and lessons.
- Gone Google Stories
Presentations that tell the story of schools, districts and universities that have adopted Google Apps and/or who have gone 1:1 with Chromebooks or Android tablets will be featured in this strand.
- Innovation in Leadership
Google is known for is innovative culture and practices. What are the lessons to be learned for administrators on developing a culture of innovation? Presentations that highlight innovative initiatives within schools and other institutions will be housed in this strand.
- Getting Googley: Projects and Initiatives from Google
There is a great deal more to Google in Education than just Google Apps. In this conference strand, you’ll find sessions that highlight other Google projects and initiatives and address their potential applications in classrooms.
- Project-Based Learning Using Google
Teachers utilizing Google Apps to develop global connections and produce collaborative projects with students will showcase their work in this strand.
