Personal Protective Equipment Guide
All school-based staff will be wearing some type of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the school day. Even though a face covering is not considered PPE, please use the techniques illustrated in these resources when putting it on and removing it to prevent contamination.
The amount of PPE will depend on your work assignment/task. Resources for proper steps to follow when putting on and removing PPE is provided in both video and written instructions below.
Please note:
- These resources are targeted to a hospital setting. However, the principles of what order and how to put PPE on and off, should you need to use more than a mask/face covering, is the same.
- You will not have a separate place to put on and remove PPE. Try to put PPE on at least six (6) feet from others, if possible. The same applies for removal.
- PPE can be thrown into regular trash.
