Planning for Summer Professional Development

Passwords

This is a reminder that today is a good day to change your password. You will have a few weeks to use it and remember it when we return in August without it expiring over the Summer.


If you need a refresher on how to change you password, these are the steps.

  1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and then click Change a password.
  2. Type your old password followed by a new password as indicated, and then type the new password again to confirm it.
  3. Press Enter.

Google: Get on Board - Google for Beginners

During this workshop, you will learn how to become a pro in all things Google. We will learn how to access your Google Drive and Gmail as well as create Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Sites. This session is for beginners to Google who have not attended any prior Google Academies.

This course is for the proficient Google user (one who has attended a previous Google Workshop(s)). Come learn the tips and tricks in Google Classroom to get your black belt. Be on your way to Google Classroom Ninja status. You will walk away with great knowledge of the ins and outs of Google Classroom.

Tech Toolbox for the Elementary Classroom

Your little ones love to use the computer to play games, but how can they be used for instruction? You'll be amazed at the things even your tiny tots can do using computers to create and learn. Walk away with ideas that can be used immediately in any Pre-K through 4th grade classroom.

Do you have a great lesson but want to techify it? This lesson fixer upper session is for you! Maybe you've heard of Kahoot!, Quizlet, Quizizz, Nearpod, Socrative, ED Puzzle, Plickers, or Flippity. You'll walk away with your own digital resources to use in your classroom and share with your peers. Also featured in this session will be easy to find pre-made lessons that you can customize to your needs.
