Thank You for Your Support

The beginning of the school year has proven to be an exciting and busy time for us all here at Olive. Thank you so much for your support in the Fund Raiser, the Book Fair and the Fall Fun Fair. All of these events help to raise money for programs and materials for students. It's amazing to see the amount of generosity through monetary and time donations. Seeing the students enjoy themselves in the process is a huge bonus! Thank you for your continued support.

Halloween Policies

All students grades K-5 will be participating in Halloween celebrations on Oct. 30. Costume and party arrangements will be made directly by the classroom teachers, however, there are some school-wide policies that need to be kept in mind. Candy and unhealthy treats (refer to Healthy Snack list here) are not to be provided to students at school. Items not meeting the guidelines cannot be served and will be sent home with the student or parent who brought in the treat. Also, students' costumes may not include weapons or blood of any kind. Please remember, if your student's class is having parent volunteers, and you would like to attend, a criminal history background check MUST be on file. This needs to be done now to ensure we receive the results in time for the party.

Reminders

  • Toys should not be brought to school unless directed by the teachers (i.e. the students may win a stuffed animal day as a class reward).
  • Background checks are required for all adults for events including but not limited to classroom parties and lunch with students. Adults without clearance will not be allowed out of the office. If you need a background check form, please contact the office.
  • Students should not arrive to school prior to 7:10 for breakfast and 7:20 for all other students.
  • Parents, who are on the payment plan for book fees/iPad insurance, payments are now due.

Community Forum

Tuesday, Oct. 20th, 5:30-7pm

Members of the NPUSC School Board are seeking public input regarding the future of the school district. The Board and Superintendent would like to gather community input regarding the direction of the district and possible school facility improvements. Community Forums will include a short presentation regarding the district's facility needs. Community input will be welcomed following the presentation.
