Show what they know...with choice!
The Light at the End of the Testing Tunnel
You're halfway through state testing and the light is now visible at the end of the tunnel. As you plan for the last six weeks of school, the quote below resonated with me, "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." With the pressure of testing almost behind us, I hope you take the opportunity to capitalize on our fresher and more appropriate approach to assessment by enabling students the choice to create, perform, and respond to demonstrate what they know while assessing it with a rubric found below as you close out this school year.
Schoology Created Rubrics
To add to your own resources, select the gear icon next to the rubric you need, and select "Add to Course" and select the appropriate course.
Is there a different type of rubric you need available on Schoology?? Ask Jenni to see if it may have already been created and can be shared.
Adobe Spark
Student-Created Website
- Combine text and multimedia to give students the freedom to create their own website to demonstrate their understanding.
- Adobe Spark pairs nicely with Google Drive documents, click here to learn how to take student writing created on Google Docs to an Adobe Spark website.
Video
- Take your audience through a student-created video that captures the plot and characters of a book.
Graphic
- Give students the chance to create a graphic (think digital poster) to capture their understanding on any topic!
