Kids Heart Challenge

CMSS is proud to support the American Heart Association this upcoming month in our PE classes. The Kids Heart Challenge is a fun and exciting event where your student learns about their heart while helping others by raising money for the American Heart Association.

On Wednesday, February 26th, students kicked off our Kids Heart Challenge with a pep rally. Prizes will be awarded for the top raising students and 100% of the money collected goes to support AHA. Any student who raises $100 or more will get to Silly String the Principals!

All collected monies must be turned in to Coach Fuller by Friday, March 13th. You can also donate online at

Animal Shelter Donations

The CMSS Builders Club is accepting donations for the Cabot Animal Shelter. They are requesting cat litter, animal toys, and new or gently used blankets. Donations can be dropped off in Room 305 with Mrs. West.

Spring Book Fair

The CMSS Media Center will be hosting our Spring Book Fair from March 11th - March 19th.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, March 17th and Thursday, March 19th from 3:15 - 7:00 pm. Conferences are scheduled for 15 minute increments through your student's Advisory Teacher.

Sign up information were sent home with students on Monday, March 2nd. Students need to return their forms to their Advisory Teacher as soon as possible. Conferences are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. A confirmation will be sent home.

Team Picture Day

Team Pictures will be taken on Thursday, March 19th. Students will need to wear their team t-shirt for the picture. Order forms will be sent home or you can order online at with the Picture Day ID: EVTN84ZG6

No School: Friday, March 20th

Cabot Public Schools will be closed on Friday, March 20th.

Spring Break

Spring Break is right around the corner! Cabot Public Schools will be closed March 23rd - 27th. We hope you have a restful week!

Cabot Teacher of the Year

Cabot Public Schools has once again teamed up with our Cabot Classroom Teacher Association, Cabot Panther Foundation, and Centennial Bank of Cabot to recognize our outstanding educators! One educator will be honored with the title Cabot Public Schools Teacher of the Year and will be eligible for submission to the Arkansas Teacher of the Year Award.

Homework Lab

Does your child need some help with their homework or a quiet place to study before school? Our Homework Room is open every morning beginning at 7:30 in the GT Room. At least one math and one literacy teacher are available each morning in the Homework Room to help students with assignments.

Pop Tabs

CMSS Builder's Club is collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House located at Arkansas Children's Hospital through April 30th. Students can drop off their donations with their Advisory Teacher. Thanks for supporting this worthy cause!

Box Tops for Education

Box Tops for Education is still going strong and each box top counts as cash for CMSS! Since 1996, General Mills has donated over $913 million to schools just like CMSS.

You can continue to send in your Box Tops with your student OR you can download the Box Top App and choose CMSS at your school. Then, simply scan your grocery receipt and CMSS will be credited for each eligible item you purchased.

FREE Breakfast!

That's Right! Every student can enjoy a free breakfast each morning. Research has shown that children who eat breakfast are more likely to focus and perform better in the classroom.

Lunch prices will remain the same as last year:

  • Elementary lunch: $2.40
  • Secondary lunch $2.60
  • Reduced lunch $0.40

If you are a family that is facing financial hardships, the most important thing you can do is to let us know. There is no deadline to apply for free and reduced meals. We will be more than happy to help you fill out the paperwork or apply online. If you don’t qualify for that program, they are still willing and able to provide assistance as needed. School Choice Applications Now Accepted

At the Cabot School District, “It’s about KIDS,” and your student could be part of the long history of academic excellence even if you don’t live in the district. CPS is currently accepting School Choice applications for the 2020-20201 school year. Applications should be turned into the Central Administrative Offices, located at 602 N. Lincoln St. More information can be found at our district website at

PreK Registration

Online enrollment in the Cabot PreK Program will open on Monday, February 3rd. For more information about eligibility and required documentation, click the link below.

Car Rider Procedures

For pick up and drop off, cars will enter Panther Trail and turn around at the designated turn around spot, just past the water tower. Cars must use the "Merge" lane to create 1 lane of traffic heading toward Kerr Station Road. Panther Trail is a city street and must remain open for through traffic. Cars will turn into the CMSS driveway from Panther Trail.

Avoid dropping off/picking up your student in the parking lots. This creates traffic that could result in an injury to our students and staff. Parking lots are reserved for those parking and entering the building.

Morning Drop Off

  • Drop off is 1 lane. Use the lane closest to the building.
  • Please pull as far forward as possible when dropping off your student. This allows more students to exit the cars and speeds up the drop off line.
  • Students will enter the building through the front doors.

Afternoon Pick Up

  • Pick up is 2 lanes after entering the CMSS driveway. Cars must use the "Merge" lane to create 1 lane of traffic heading toward Kerr Station Road. Panther Trail is a city street and must remain open for through traffic.
  • Present your placard to the caller as you approach the beginning of the car line.
  • Students will listen for their name and go to the number called with their name.
  • Cars will pull up to the number called. (#1 is near the 6th grade hall/closest to the Kerr Station exit/#10 is near the 5th grade hall/closest to the caller).
  • Students will wait until the vehicle comes to a complete stop to load their car.
