Empire State Games
This past October, Mrs. Walzer took the challenge of inviting both 12:1:1 classes to SUNY Brockport to compete in the Empire State Games for the physically challenged. These games are an excellent way for students who have physical or multiple disabilities to participate in events competing against other athletes who have similar abilities. Our athletes included Kate, Ramzy, Vic, DJ, Lizzy, Emily, Angie, Dezmiah, Alexis, Isaac, Abby and Aurora. We also had several amazing WEB leaders who joined us as volunteers to buddy up with our athletes. This group included Analise, Bizzie, Makenna, Kjersti, McKenzie, Emma, Sofia, Aaron, Anna and Destan. As shown in the pictures, each one of these students had their own personal success deserving these medals. It is safe to say that we will be signing up again next year. It was a great day and it was exciting making some new friends as well. Well done everyone!!!!!
Veterans Dinner
We had a wonderful Veterans Dinner on Friday Night. Service was provided by our students who also visited with our Veteran guests throughout the night. Thank you to all our volunteers, families that donated goods, our students, the Elks Club, our staff, and all that made this a special night for all. Also thank you to the students that made cards and crafts that made the night extra special.

Spry Lunch Break
Lunch Break is back at Spry, and parent volunteers are always needed. Lunch Break is a PTSA led program where students come out into the hallway after they eat their lunch, and they do a craft while visiting with wonderful senior citizen volunteers.
There are two ways to volunteer. You can come to school and volunteer your time, or send in a homemade baked good. Your job as a parent volunteer at Spry during Lunch Break would simply be to help with set up (or clean up), hand out crafts and guide students to available seats at craft tables, and to help the senior citizens if they need any replacement supplies, etc.
