Outreach Visit on November 3!
We have a really cool outreach opportunity coming up on Friday! Fourth grade students from Roaring River will be with us from 9:30-12:00. Because they are coming for a longer period of time, we are going to be able to do a variety of activities with them. We will be facilitating their time in the Rock Garden, helping Jeff do a large group demonstration, and leading small group rotations.
We need a different number of people for each of these different activities. Please sign up on the spreadsheet using this link: https://docs.google.com/a/appstate.edu/spreadsheets/d/1HDbCdaSWFHAk_3N-VLV8mkA86sciaA_u4eSvgxm-L6I/edit?usp=sharing. Each activity has a different time slot. If you sign up, please make sure you can be there for all of that time.

We are going to have activities such as face painting, games, coloring and button making! We need volunteers for the event to help us with greeting families, running stations and set-up/clean-up!

Puerto Rico Relief Shirts
Hello everyone! My name is Hayley Rose, and I am a Junior Middle Grades Education major. Please read below for an opportunity to serve those in need:
Loss at any level is hard to heal from. Over the past few months I have seen so much within our own country and across the world: loss of families, homes, friends and even basic needs. I’ve also seen people from all over come together to make a difference in ways that have helped those that are hurting. Each of us coming together to simply love on our neighbors can make huge strides in the restoration our world needs today. So, I have decided to do just that. Together with my family and friends, I will be raising money that will be sent to help those in Puerto Rico who were impacted by Hurricane Maria.
In honor of turning 21 in a couple of weeks, I am selling the shirts below for $21 (however its an extra $5 for shipping, if needed)!! There are two options for you to chose from (or you can buy both)!! The first option is a canvas brand, black t-shirt. The second option is a comfort color gray t-shirt. Both shirts have the same design on the front and back. Also, the back of the shirt says "Amar Tu Projimo", which means "Love Your Neighbor".
All the proceeds and/or donations will go directly to those affected in Puerto Rico! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
