ATA Virtual Suggestion Box
I appreciate the excellent suggestions I've received since the beginning of the school year. In response, I have created the ATA Virtual Suggestion Box to facilitate sharing ideas. Remember that addressing individual site concerns should start with your ATA Site Reps. Please make suggestions regarding issues affecting the broader association.
Thank you for sharing your idea(s). You may access the Google form here.
Board of Education Endorsements
The ATA Board of Directors and Rep Council voted to endorse Bob Gin and Bryan Kim to our AUSD Board of Education. ATA is a vital member of the communities we serve, and we respect that unit members have a choice on who they support.
If you'd like to support our endorsed candidates, please contact pac.ata.email@gmail.com.
Breakfast RSVP
Our Welcome Back Breakfast is Saturday, September 10th, from 9 am to 11 am. Please let us know if you will attend so we can plan accordingly. We want to ensure that we have enough food and drinks for you and your family. You may call us at (626) 289-1933 or email us at ataoffice3030@gmail.com.
As a reminder, this event is open to all AUSD employees and their families.
Safety and Protection of Unit Members
If you have concerns regarding a parent's or guardian's tone that comes across as threatening in any form of communication, please reach out to your admin. The District has a responsibility to protect students AND staff. Upon request, your admin will support you in responding to the issue.
Furthermore, if you are in any meeting with a parent, colleague, or admin and feel fearful or concerned for your safety, you have the right to remove yourself from that situation. If this happens, please reach to your admin and/or HR.

Learn More About Your Health Benefits
Understanding your AUSD health benefits plan (medical, dental, and vision) is vital. The District's Health Benefits site is designed to assist employees and their covered dependents with important information and resources regarding various benefits offered through AUSD.
You may access the site here.
Suggestions for Stipends Committee
A Stipends Committee, composed of ATA unit members and AUSD management, has been formed to review Coaching and Miscellaneous assignments. Three representatives from the comprehensive high schools and I will meet over the following months to review the compatibility of all stipends. Additionally, we will be negotiating the addition of more positions.
Please share any suggestions you'd like the committee to consider as they meet with the District team on this link.
