RHHS Choir Success
Th Rock Hill choir "Blue Note" had the opportunity to participate in the annual North Texas Madrigal and Chamber Choir Festival. This is one of the only competitive music contests in the state of Texas for high school choirs. Over 40 groups from as far as the RGV, as well as Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and all over North Texas competed this year.
It was also the first time that a choir from Rock Hill … and Prosper ISD … has ever competed.
Not only was Blue Note awarded with a Superior Division I rating, they were shocked to learn at the awards ceremony that they were one of 12 schools selected as a Performance of Distinction. That is a rare honor, and gives them the momentum moving forward to know that they are truly one of the best choral performing group in our area. **Picture below: All of the schools receiving this Distinction award — Ella Dellenbach represented Rock Hill at the awards**

PHS All State Clarinetist Devin Pham in San Antonio
“If I had to live my life again, I would have made a rule to read some poetry and listen to some music at least once every week; for perhaps the parts of my brain now atrophied would thus have been kept active through use. The loss of these tastes is a loss of happiness, and may possibly be injurious to the intellect, and more probably to the moral character, by enfeebling the emotional part of our nature.”
