Barry Primary School
Newsletter, January 2023
From Mrs. Klumpp & Mrs. Block
-Community News: Our Kindergarten students sang holiday songs virtually for residents in a local nursing home. Not only were our students excited to spread joy, the residents were thrilled.
We also had an opportunity to have Josie’s Journey comfort canines and owners visit twice this month with our staff and students. This was very special as they brought a sense of calmness and happiness to everyone at Barry Primary.
-Safety: When our students come back from break, please remember to send in appropriate winter gear with your students such as a hat, mittens, coat, snow pants, and boots.
-ROAR Celebration: We had our 4th ROAR celebration! As our students practice being responsible, being open hearted, acting safely, and being respectful, they were able to participate in activities with arts and crafts with Ms. Mosh and Mrs. Harris, they had a snowball fight working on team work in the gym with Mr. Sinclair and Mr. Mack, and participated in activities in the library with Ms. Hayden and Mrs. Rolewicz.
-Student Engagement: Coming back from break, we will be reviewing school expectations such as being responsible, being open hearted, acting safely, and being respectful. The transition back can be difficult for some, and we want to ensure our students have a sense of belonging and are successful in school.

Digital Access Survey
The NYS Digital Equity Survey is a short questionnaire that will help districts identify students who may need access to reliable internet and/or a digital device for completing schoolwork at home. NYS requires that school districts collect this information to better serve our families needs. Thank you for completing this survey.
