Women in STEM Scholarship
Buildium is proud to award one $2,500 scholarship each semester to a woman who can tell them which female STEM leader most inspires them to pursue their dreams.
Selection is based on submission of an essay (less than 1,000 words), explaining which female leader at a technology company inspires you, and why. She can be a CEO, a product developer, a creative director, an engineer, or anything in between. But, she must be a leader in STEM.
Applicants must be a female enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in the United States or Canada, studying Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and in good academic standing.

Smithsonian Environmental Research Center’s (SERC) Internship Program
The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center will consider applications from currently enrolled undergraduate and Master’s students, or students who have recently graduated from undergraduate or Master’s programs. Applicants must be in a position to commit fully to the completion of a project. U.S. citizenship is not a requirement to participate in this program.
Selected candidates will receive a stipend of $500.00 per week. There is limited on-site dormitory space available for $105.00 per week. SERC does not supply board, but the dorms are equipped with full kitchens. They can accommodate up to 24 residents.

Political Leadership Program - Sorensen Institute
The application process is open to Virginia residents who are eligible to run for political office. A commitment to fully participate in the program is required. They ask that you confirm in advance your availability for the session weekends below before you apply to the program. After they review your application you will be contacted to schedule an in-person interview.
One essential goal of the selection process is to ensure that the program participants reflect the demographic and geographic make up of the state. Each class has a balance between Republicans and Democrats, in addition to participants who have other party or no party affiliations. This composition is critical to the effectiveness of the program.
