Catholic Schools Week ReCap

What a wonderful week! The week began by celebrating a lovely Parish Mass with our students at the helm, we were honored to be able to greet, sing with our parishioners, read, and reflect on our time at St. Damian School.

The school week kicked off with an all school assembly as we introduced our Root Beliefs beginning with "Jesus Calls Us All By Name."

Tuesday quickly approached with our "Heart of the School" mass and we recognized Mrs. Kingsbury as our "Heart of the School" recipient. After the mass, our children quickly made their way to the gym where we had a wonderful faith filled song and dance hour with Mr. Rich Rubietta, a singer, songwriter. We filled the gym with voices from our children. We concluded our day to celebrate our students with a game of BINGO led by our student council.

Even though, we had a few snow days, it didn't stop St. Damian. Wednesday we received some awesome photos of our children outside and in the snow. The physical activity is great for our students and we love that they had this opportunity mid week.

On Thursday, Sr. Stephanie from The Mission of Our Lady of the Angels, spoke to us about the mission and her calling to religious life. But, the most awesome part of this presentation were the thoughtful questions our students brought to the table.

Today concludes with a friendly faculty/student volleyball game! Who will win?
